What is the BasqueTouch?

  • BasqueTouch®

Two logos in one: the brand name and the hook, to remind us that we are close to nature and that we must take care of it. Ultimately, this is where the ocean begins, and it's up to us to pay the most attention to it.

  • The "flag" tag

We often talk about the architecture and the colors of the houses, don't we? And do you know what each of the three colors corresponds to: red, green but also blue? The answer is simple: initially, the half-timbered houses were painted green for farmers and sharecroppers, red for herders, blue for fishermen (the closer to the ocean you are, the more the houses will have this dyed blue). These colors are, today, part of the heritage of the Basque Country and we do not paint what we want, where we want.

NB: there are also some residences with gray shutters and timber framing: these are religious buildings.

    French brand

The brand was conceived, designed and customized in France. The goal is to have our main partners on French territory in order to have better visibility on the design of our products and a shorter circuit. We hope to develop our products more and more in France, in order to make French jobs prosper.

“Consume less but consume better”.

We developed our first collection with a very specific goal: to actively participate in more responsible fashion. We have chosen to develop parts designed to last. Our commitment is the promise of an offer of unique and durable pieces that meet ethical and demanding criteria. We are particularly keen to create responsible product collections and to engage in a long-term relationship with our community. And with the planet: we develop products that respond to a united and sustainable vision, designed from eco-friendly, recycled or organic materials.

Transmit values, recall a memory and promote the region of the Basque Country. You are the Basque touch: represent us in the world!

The 10 principles of the BasqueTouch:

  • Force of nature - The Basque Country, a region between ocean and mountain: raging waves, the famous Belharra, these intense sunsets and the hinterland, a true eldorado of nature that makes us very small in front of this ecosystem .
  • Bon vivant - We know them about aperitifs/sunsets, village festivals and chocolate, eh: we know how to make the most of every little moment.
  • Talented - A veritable cradle of creators, public figures, well-known and recognized athletes, everything is conducive to the development of ideas here. (Did you know we even have Keanue Reeves' official stuntman - John Wick 4 - in this area - yes!)
  • Courageous - For generations we have been people of the land and the sea, we have all worked hard in the past, and we continue to innovate and work hard today.
  • Traveler - Because we are convinced that we can bring only good by traveling, by transmitting our values during our meetings; and even more, bring everything we learned when we return.
  • Humble - We are aware of the beauty of this region, and we take care of it. Whether we are people who live there, who come there regularly or for the first time, we know how to receive and bring all our knowledge to accompany our new compatriots.
  • Respectful - We respect nature, the ocean, forests, animals but also men & women, whatever their skin color, their origin, their difference, their sexual orientation: let's love and share!
  • Solidarity - Our region is still preserved, we feel safe by continuing to help each other, to participate in solidarity projects. Keep security to feel good at home.
  • Sports - There's still time to go and test Basque pelota, do you necessarily have a pediment next to your home? Everything is conducive to doing sport here thanks to these landscapes that take us out of our homes, whether it's windy, rainy or sunny.
  • Stranger - We all come from somewhere. We are foreigners here because you come from elsewhere and you are foreigners elsewhere because you come from here, did you follow?
